Most Volatile in 2014

Unlike a traditional stock market, it’s possible to make a profit on both positive and negative news. Even though ExtZy doesn’t have millions of buyers and sellers constantly looking for buying and selling opportunities, some individual entities soared (or crashed) in 2014 influenced by prophetic events (e.g. wars, controversy, sporting events, etc.). Such performance can be found from countries like Libya, Ukraine, France, Argentina, etc. The table below exhibits a list of countries which had the highest volatility in 2014.

Highest Yield Dividend Stocks in 2014

ExtZy introduced ‘negative dividends’ in 2013 to motivate our traders to be more participative. The dividend yield is the annual dividend payout divided by the market price of the country.  Dividend yield indicates whether it is likely to be worthwhile to make an investment in a particular country over the long term. The table below exhibits the top 10 highest-yielding dividend countries in 2014.

This year was particularly exciting as CISIext, a bespoke educational version of ExtZy, was created for the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) to help students understand how markets work.  Though the students were offered sports and music markets, interestingly the countries market also proved to be the most attractive and foreseeable market for students.  We are currently enhancing the game for another educational run this autumn.

We hope to explore the world and ExtZy with you a bit more in 2015!
